Ah, spring. It’s a time of year when business picks up… just when the kids get out of school and it’s harder to get work done. It’s still important to use this time productively, even working in a little reading time while you hang with your family.
This season, my business bookshelf is once again stacked high with interesting new books whose titles have intrigued me enough to keep them out of the donation pile. Among them are useful tomes out recently for wannabe business owners, as well as bootstrappers, innovators, and leaders of all stripes.
I want to be able to help rescue someone from themselves, to help steer them in the right direction, to make a difference in their life, to leave an impact. I only have one life to live and I believe that is what my purpose is, I don’t know who I will help or how, but I will not stop until I do. I might have already achieved my goal, but I wouldn’t know because I don’t do it for the credit, I do it out of the kindness of my heart, but that is the beauty of it. I will never stop chasing this dream because I will never know when I have completed it, and I might just end up helping countless people through my lifetime.
Success is not something that only a chosen few can achieve. Everyone can be successful in every area of his or her life. You just need to know how to do things in such a way as to make sure you succeed every time. Success comes as a result of forming certain habits, and continuing in them. Consistency is key. To succeed, you need to be a certain type of person. Don’t be discouraged if you are not yet that type of person. With practice, anyone can become a successful person. The successful person thinks in a certain way, talks in a certain way, and acts in a certain way. The list below briefly outlines 10 of those ways (and a bonus tip!). Anyone who consistently applies these principles to any area of their life will experience success in that area.
Did some last minute holiday shopping and i must say i was very pleased with Gap’s visual display. They have a license with Clarks cuz all the mannequins are wearing Clarks Desert Boots. In terms of style and affordability Gap is the way to go….
Tommy Hilfiger’s version of a tailgating party: one ridiculously well-dressed family.
In Hilfiger’s new Fall 2010 campaign, dubbed “The Ultimate Tailgate” and photographed by Craig McDean, the designer’s All-American clothing are modeled by the fictional Hilfigers.
I like the ad campaign it adds visual identity while respecting the brand aesthetic as well captures the brand’s preppy American sportswear. The idea of making it an entire family opens it market to include women and a younger generation with the Tommy line
The late Alexander McQueen has released a duo of new high top sneakers for Fall/Winter 2010. Featured in all black leather or black leather with smoke wool, the kicks are accented with a leather skull print interior and silver skull zipper. Now available at Forward.
